Many people in Kenya are protesting against their government. They want President William Ruto to leave his job. This is happening even though he has already agreed to some of their demands.
One person has been killed during a clash between protesters and police on the outskirts of the capital city. A BBC reporter saw this happen.
In the center of Nairobi, many shops are closed because police are using tear gas to stop hundreds of protesters.
The protests started last month because people didn't like a new tax law. But now they are also angry about bad government, corruption, and police violence. Many people have died during recent protests.

Last week, President Ruto said he wants to talk to the people. He also fired all his cabinet members and the head of the police. But many young Kenyans, who are organizing the protests online, don't want to talk and instead want President Ruto to leave his job.

Yesterday, a protester was killed in a place called Kitengela. The police haven't said anything about his death. The protesters were very angry and threw stones at the police. They also set fires on the road.
There were many chaotic scenes in other parts of the country, including in Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, and Nyeri.
A reporter for a Kenyan TV station was hurt badly by a bullet while she was covering the protests in Nakuru. She was shot in her leg and taken to the hospital.
According to a newspaper in Kenya, there are protests happening in almost half of the country's 47 counties.

The government had wanted to pass a new tax law, but the protesters broke into the parliament building and set part of it on fire. Many people have died since the protests started - at least 50 people have been killed and 413 people have been hurt.
The police chief said that some groups might try to cause trouble during the protests, so he asked people to be peaceful and work with the police to stay safe.
The president accused the Ford Foundation of funding the protests, but they said that's not true.
