Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to Visit India for Border Talks

Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi will visit India from Monday to Wednesday for important talks about the disputed border in the Himalayas, China’s foreign ministry announced on Saturday. This will be only the second meeting of its kind since the deadly clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in 2020.#ChinaIndiaRelations #WangYiIndiaVisit #HimalayanBorder

Relations between India and China have been improving since both sides agreed last October on a new patrol plan for their Himalayan border. This step helped ease a five-year standoff that had hurt trade, investment, and air travel between the two countries.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also scheduled to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping later this month during his visit to China. It will be Modi’s first visit in seven years, where he will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit, a key regional security group.

The upcoming visit shows both nations are working to cool tensions and strengthen dialogue.
